Osteria Del Figo

Jessica | August 17, 2009

On a lonely Saturday evening, I decided to order out at Osteria Del Figo (or just Figo) for pasta. Figo is an Atlanta pasta chain that allows you to create your own dish by selecting the pasta type and sauce. With more than 15 types of pasta and as many sauces, the possibilities are endless. It’s also pretty cheap, so it’s perfect for my new grad student budget. This time, I tried artichoke ravioli in 4 cheese sauce:

The artichoke ravioli was really fresh-tasting and artichoky (yes I just made that word up). In addition to the artichoke, the filling seemed to have some sort of cheese worked in also. The 4 Formaggi sauce was a little thinner that I would have liked, but also very tasty and complimented my ravioli well. Despite the Saturday night freshness, I think this may have tasted even better on Sunday afternoon after it sat in my fridge and the flavors mellowed together.

When I saw that Figo had an “I love peanut butter” pie special, I couldn’t pass it up:

I don’t think I even have to say how good this was; crunchy chocolate crust topped with creamy peanut butter filling topped with rich chocolate topping. Fabulous!

Figo has locations all around Atlanta, and runs weekly menu specials. At one point last year the Howell Mill location had a “2 free crostini with student ID” special, so keep your eyes peeled to make this wallet-friendly pasta stop even more appealing!
