Vickery’s Bar and Grill

Jessica | September 21, 2009

Since it has been monsooning in Atlanta for the past week or so, I’ve not been feeling motivated to do any extensive eating out or grocery shopping. Enter Zifty. Zifty is a delivery service in Atlanta that has everything from movies to take-out to cigarettes available to be delivered to your door. While the only thing I’ve utilized Zifty for is the occasional dinner when I’m feeling lazy, I think it’s a great service that more restaurants should participate in. After perusing the menu options, I decided to try a place I’ve never visited, Vickery’s Bar and Grill.

This is a little different from my usual posts since I can’t comment on the restaurant environment or service, but I do know that the steak and mushroom salad I had (All natural grilled sirloin over mixed greens with bleu cheese crumbles, sauteed mushrooms and fried onions) was delicious!

Everything on the salad just “fit”, which I guess makes sense when you realize it’s kind of a deconstructed steakhouse meal. I couldn’t finish the whole salad, which was fine with me. A salad that makes you feel full is a rare find!

Vickery’s has 2 locations in Atlanta and 2 around Charleston, SC. I’m fairly certain I’ll be making an in-person visit to the Midtown location sometime soon!
