Taste of Atlanta

Jessica | October 18, 2009

Well, better late than never. Last weekend I went to Taste of Atlanta with Mario and a new friend of mine, Stephani. With a Tech student advance purchase discount, we got 15 Taste Tickets for $20. When we first started our circuit, we were wondering how on Earth we’d make the tickets last through everything we wanted to eat. But after a few hours of sharing bites and free samples, we were wondering how on Earth we would spend them all! We had a lot of fun and tried a ton of food. Here are some of our favorites:

The ravioli from Il Mulino was probably our favorite, but we also sampled kobe beef sliders, ice cream from Morelli’s, mango lassi, items from Gladys Knight’s Chicken & Waffles, homemade preserves and much more!! I was surprised how well the Tech Square location worked out for the Taste (although I didn’t have to do any driving in the area) and that the rain forecast held off. I’m looking forward to visiting Taste of Atlanta next year!

P.S. Check out Chow Down Atlanta and The Quick + Dirty Dirty’s ToA recaps also!

Hi! Found your blog through Chow Down Atlanta. Your post answered a question that I had wondered about in my Taste of Atlanta post. I noticed a significant number of Georgia Tech students (which is great — I have family members who went to Tech), and the number was high enough that I sort of wondered if they’d received a discount!

Yes, it was only $5 off advance tickets, but I think the location helped a lot too
