Noon Midtown

Jessica | November 6, 2009

I checked out new Midtown favorite Noon Midtown for lunch last week. Noon is run by a chef-turned-lawyer-turned-chef again who was searching for good lunch options in Midtown and decided to open her own. I don’t know much else about Noon, other than that they serve sandwiches, my favorite food, and are receiving awards for said fare.

I tried the Turkey sandwich (house-roasted turkey, fresh mozzarella, cranberry relish, basil aioli on country bread), which, according to their website has changed for fall to include bacon and a different condiment combo.

My sandwich was good, especially the thick slice of mozzarella, but I also thought it was easily something I could have come up with and put together at home for a lot less than $9. Granted, I typically don’t order cold sandwiches when I’m out, so this could have factored into my being underwhelmed. Strangely though, none of Noon’s hot sandwiches have meat on them (no longer true due to menu changes). Kind of a must for me!

I enjoyed the overall ambiance of Noon Midtown, and their staff is super friendly. They serve a wide variety of teas and Counter Culture coffee and even have breakfast and Saturday brunch. It’s in a great location on Crescent St and they clearly use quality ingredients in their dishes. I wouldn’t rule out trying Noon again for a nice lunch with friends.
