Cacao
Jessica | January 16, 2010The day I lunched at Parish in Inman Park was one of those horribly cold and dreary days Atlanta experienced early in the new year. To warm myself up, I decided to visit Cacao and try their “Aztec Aphrodisia Sipping Chocolate”, which I first caught wind of via The Blissful Glutton‘s blog. In a hidden nook off N. Highland Ave, I found a little heaven in a cup:

Aztec Sipping Chocolate
According to BG, “the hot chocolate is made in-house from dark chocolate (about 72 percent to 75 percent) with six different spices.” That gooey goodness floating on top is a homemade marshmallow. The hot chocolate does indeed have a little spicy kick, which was exactly what I needed to brave the weather once again.
Cacao is located in the building on the corner of N. Highland Ave. and Elizabeth St. Look for the signs–they don’t have a storefront per se; it’s off in an alley. For any out-of-towners wanting to get your chocolate fix on, Cacao has an online store so you can have some love shipped straight to you. I’m already eyeballing the sipping chocolate gift set!
