New Chick-fil-A Banana Pudding Milkshake: Giveaway!

Jessica | March 9, 2011

Here’s a little something to brighten up this rainy day (at least in Atlanta): I’m giving away coupons to try Chick-fil-A’s new banana pudding milkshake for FREE!

Free Milkshakes!

Free Milkshakes!

The milkshake is made with fresh bananas, real Nilla® wafers, a splash of vanilla, and is hand-spun with Chick-fil-A’s popular “home-style” Icedream® and topped with light whipped cream and a maraschino cherry. Woody Faulk, Chick-fil-A’s vice president of brand development, says “Our new Banana Pudding Milkshake is like drinking your grandmother’s recipe through a straw.” I’ve tried it, and I have to agree! Chick-fil-A’s PR folks were kind enough to send over some coupons for me to share with my readers, and since even I don’t think I can ingest this many milkshakes, I’m giving 2 coupons each to 4 people so you and a friend (or just you, I won’t judge) can try it for yourself.

All you have to do is comment here, and let me know who makes the best banana pudding you’ve ever had. You can get an extra entry by commenting on First Bite’s Facebook page. The contest ends at midnight on March 12, and I’ll announce the winners on Sunday, March 13.

*Update* The coupons can be used for any flavor Chick-fil-A milkshake if you don’t like banana pudding…but I think you should try it anyway :-)

I’ve only had banana pudding a few times in my life, and I don’t know who made it or whose recipe it was, but I love it. My husband won’t touch it, so I never make it at home, and don’t come across it often. Can’t wait to try the milkshake!

My mom’s banana pudding is boss! I will only eat hers.

My grandmother made her banana pudding with homemade vanilla custard as the base. My mom always told me that the best her mother ever made was when she forgot the bananas and it was just vanilla wafers and custard. Delicious!!

I’ve honestly never had genuine banana pudding ( don’t laugh!) But I’ve always loved Chick Fil A’s milkshakes, especially the Peach and Peppermint Chocolate Chip flavors.
I’m eager to try this! It looks so delicious!

I first heard of Agnes and Muriel’s banana pudding from a friend who’d officiated a wedding, and mentioned that the couple had had the restaurant specially prepare a pan of banana pudding for the guests. He said it was amazing.

I went to the restaurant to try it myself, and he was right: it was astonishingly good. I’m sorry that the place has closed.

My Dad makes the best quiches and banana pudding. Ever. (i would also probably gnaw my arm down to the bone if it was slathered in his barbecue sauce.) He lets the pudding sit long enough before serving to allow the cookies to soften a bit. The texture of the cookies is as important to the pudding as the bottom crust is to a chicken pot pie. I’d love to give my Dad a couple of coupons. It would make his day! I’ve had the shake (more than once) and it is evil good.

my grandmother (god rest her soul) made the BEST banana pudding!! i only wish my wife could have experienced it, too! she was an awesome cook and baker. she gave me her recipe (even though she swore she would never give it up), but i could never make it as good as her!
